Representing you at Appeals and Tribunals
Most of OSI’s Workers’ Compensation Recovery Facilitators are Paralegals. Fully trained and educated to the Law Society of Upper Canada’s requirements, they will prepare all administrative appeals. They will represent you, as a client, at all Appeal and Tribunal hearings. This includes representation in appeals where there is the dispute of:
- initial entitlement
- loss of earnings loss benefits
- cost relief
- transfer of costs
- claim amalgamation
- permanent impairment awards rehabilitation plans, pension, and more
OSI reviews all claims for these possibilities and will submit appeals where required. Should we receive an unfavourable decision from the WSIB, we can immediately submit a notice of objection on your behalf. This includes a request for the full claim file to review.
OSI provides detailed updates to clients regarding appeal approval and cost benefits of proceeding, notification of any change in the appeal status to clients with live updates in person, over the phone and via our OSI Client Portal.
